Dr Nick Cox is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the proud co-owner of Cavendish Road Clinic. He brings a modern, inclusive, and patient-centred approach to general practice, with a strong focus on continuity of care.
Dr Nick graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Griffith University in 2018 and completed his hospital training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He has experience across a broad range of specialties including Dermatology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and both Adult and Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
His clinical interests include men’s health, sexual health, LGBTIQA+ health, urology, and travel medicine. He is an accredited S100 HIV Prescriber and provides comprehensive care including PrEP and PEP.
Dr Nick is committed to providing inclusive, high-quality healthcare for patients of all backgrounds.

Dr Rebecca Owen is an experienced and approachable General Practitioner and co-owner of Cavendish Road Clinic. She graduated from Griffith University in 2018 and completed her hospital training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, followed by work in Emergency Medicine at Tully Hospital in Far North Queensland.
Before studying medicine, Dr Rebecca had a successful career in Radiation Therapy, working across Australia and in Canada – a background that brings valuable depth to her clinical care.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and enjoys all aspects of general practice, with particular interests in women’s health, antenatal care, sexual health, HIV medicine, and gender affirming care. Dr Rebecca is a trained S100 HIV prescriber.
Warm, thorough, and patient-centred, Dr Rebecca is committed to delivering inclusive, high-quality care to individuals.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, dining out, and spending time with her two children.

Dr Miles commenced at the Clinic in January 2008. His interests include sports medicine with an emphasis on managing issues for female athletes, skin cancer management and children’s health. He enjoys the variety of family medicine and also performs anti-wrinkle injections.

Dr Maria Sharkey started practice at Cavendish Road Clinic in 2006. She values the long term care she is able to provide to the patients and families she sees.
Maria genuinely enjoys all aspects of family medicine including care of the newborn, children’s care, women’s health, management of chronic conditions, veteran’s health care and the care of older folk. She has a particular interest in preventative health, encouraging prevention of disease through healthy lifestyle.
When she is not at work, Maria enjoys spending time with family, art, and enjoying the beauty of nature.
After over 19 years serving the community of Cavendish Road Clinic, Dr Maria Sharkey will be retiring from General Practice on Friday, 19 December, 2025. She would like to thank each and every patient and colleague who have been part of her journey. She is confident leaving her patients in the care of the team of GP’s who continue at Cavendish Road Clinic.

Dr Andrew Fahey graduated from the University of Queensland in 2011 and has worked as a GP in Cairns, Brisbane and Northern NSW for over a decade. He has recently moved back home to Brisbane and enjoys all aspects of family medicine, including men’s health, antenatal care, paediatrics and chronic disease management. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys bushwalking, amateur astronomy, travel and pop culture.

Dr Jeanine McMullan is an experienced and compassionate GP committed to delivering holistic, patient-centred care across all stages of life. She believes in empowering individuals to take charge of their heath through informed choices, preventative care and respectful collaboration. Dr McMullan supports her patients through life’s transitions, offering thoughtful guidance and evidence-based treatment. Her practice is grounded in empathy, clinical excellence and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey toward wellness.
Dr McMullan will be concluding her time practising at Cavendish Road Clinic on Friday, 28 November, 2025. She will be greatly missed by patients, clinic staff and her GP colleagues.

Dr Felicity Hattin values the trust her patients put in her, and enjoys providing long term care to families and individuals. She has particular interests and extra training in paediatrics, antenatal care, and women’s health; and is an aligned GP to provide shared antenatal care with Metro South Hospitals. She can perform Implanon insertions and iron infusions with prior consultation.
Dr Felicity enjoys spending time with her young family, crafting, reading and beach getaways.

Dr Sarah Jongbloed gained her medical degree from theUniversity of Queensland in 2012 and prior to that time worked in immunological research at the University of Tasmania and the University of Glasgow, UK, where she gained a PhD in Immunology in 2006.
She undertook her early medical training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital working in emergency medicine, general medicine, general surgery, infectious diseases, cardiology, haematology, psychiatry and paediatrics (at The Royal Children’s Hospital).
Dr Sarah thoroughly enjoys all aspects of GP care, inparticular family and chronic medicine, and specifically enjoys providing continuity of care with a thorough and thoughtful patient centred approach.

Dr Indee Poddalgoda is a Specialist General Practitioner and has been practicing medicine since 2008. Having worked in Darwin for several years, she is experienced in general medicine, general surgery, psychiatry, cardiology, emergency medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology, and oncology.
Dr Indee obtained a Diploma in Child Health from The University of Sydney and has completed further training in women’s health gaining a Certificate in Women’s Health from Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). Dr Indee is certified for IUD/Implanon insertion and is accredited as a shared antenatal care provider with Mater Hospital.
