At Cavendish Road Clinic, we believe healthcare works best when your GP has enough time to understand the whole person – not just the reason you came in today.
We’re committed to being transparent about our fees and helping you choose the right appointment length from the outset, so there are no surprises on the day. As a fully private billing practice, our fees reflect the time, care and expertise involved in providing high-quality general practice. Medicare rebates are available for eligible services where applicable.
Our priority is making sure you receive the care you need. Occasionally, a consultation may become more complex than originally anticipated or require additional time. If this occurs, your GP will do their best to discuss this with you during your appointment, including any change to the consultation fee and the options available, before proceeding.
Some consultations involve additional procedures, equipment or consumables. Where an additional fee applies, we’ll always aim to let you know in advance.
The services below are those our patients ask about most often. This is not an exhaustive fee list, and fees may vary depending on the complexity of your consultation and the care required. If you’re ever unsure about costs, please ask your GP or our reception team – we’re always happy to help.
Fees for Mirena and Implanon procedures may vary depending on the procedure/s required and the doctor providing your care.
Your GP will discuss the expected costs with you as part of planning your procedure. For more information about fees, please speak with your GP or contact our friendly reception team by phone.
We centre our care around the person – not the clock.
Choosing the right appointment length simply helps ensure your GP has enough time to understand your concerns, answer your questions and provide the care you deserve.
If you’re unsure which appointment to book, our friendly reception team is always happy to help.
We also encourage you to ask your GP how long they recommend for your next appointment. Every person’s healthcare journey is different, and your doctor is best placed to recommend the amount of time needed for your ongoing care.
Telehealth appointments are available for patients cannot attend the clinic due to competing commitments, illness, mobility or access issues. These can be easily booked online or by calling our reception team.
Medicare rebates are available where a patient has been seen at the practice face to face within the last 12 months.
Medicare rebates are also available to new patients who are seeking services related to blood borne viruses, sexual or reproductive health.
Your doctor will let you know if follow-up is required when your results are received. The recall message will be sent to your mobile by HotDoc, asking you to please book a follow-up appointment.
Patients may also be contacted by SMS, phone, email, or registered post to arrange a review appointment where necessary.
Results are not provided by our reception team over the phone, and should be accessible on your MyGov account within 1 week.
If you prefer not to receive routine reminders, for example – when your next check up is due – please advise the practice manager directly via email ([email protected]).
To ensure accurate records and reliable communication, please advise us promptly if your contact details change – including address, phone number, or email.
Free on-site parking is available for your convenience.
Cavendish Road Clinic operates from a heritage-listed building, and at present, there is no wheelchair ramp access.
We acknowledge this limitation and are exploring options to enhance accessibility in the future.
If you have mobility needs, please inform our reception team when booking so we can make appropriate arrangements to support your care.
For after-hours medical care, please contact the Hello Home Doctor Service directly on 134 100.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 000 immediately, or present to you local ED or urgent care clinic.
While we operate primarily by appointment, walk-in patients will be triaged by our nursing team on arrival and assisted to arrange the most appropriate care pathway.
If you are unsure, please phone our clinic during office hours for advice.
Fees for work-related injuries are payable at the time of consultation. Fees are charged at AMA rates.
It is the responsibility of the patient and employer to submit the necessary documentation to WorkCover Queensland, and in some cases, to seek reimbursement directly from WorkCover.
Please note that if your claim was made within another state, varying out of pocket costs may apply.
Your medical record is a confidential document.
Our practice adheres to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and the RACGP 5th Edition Standards.
All personal information is stored securely and is only accessible to authorised staff involved in your care.
A copy of our full privacy policy is available on request from reception.
At Cavendish Road Clinic, we embrace innovative technologies that enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. Some of our doctors use secure, medical-grade AI tools – such as Heidi – to assist with clinical documentation during consultations.
These tools act as digital scribes, helping to summarise discussions and generate draft notes under the supervision of your doctor. All information is reviewed and approved by your GP before being added to your record.
Your privacy remains our priority: AI tools are used in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles and our practice privacy policy, and data is handled securely within approved healthcare environments.
By integrating technology thoughtfully, we aim to spend more time focusing on you, and less time on administration – so your care always stays personal, accurate, and human.
