Choosing a private model allows us to provide:
Consultations are always by appointment, except in emergencies. Our doctors share medical records securely and can see each other’s patients if required, ensuring continuity of care.
To help us provide the best care:

Free on-site parking is available for your convenience.

For after-hours medical care, please call (07) 3397 1041 for current instructions, or contact Hello Home Doctor Service directly on 134 100.

We also offer early-morning appointments from 7:30 am for patients needing before-work access.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 000 immediately, or present to you local ED or urgent care clinic.

While we operate primarily by appointment, walk-in patients will be triaged by our nursing team on arrival and assisted to arrange the most appropriate care pathway.

If you are unsure, please phone our clinic during office hours for advice.

Cavendish Road Clinic is proudly registered with MyMedicare, a government initiative designed to strengthen the relationship between patients and their regular GP.

By nominating us as your preferred practice, you help us deliver more connected, continuous and personalised care.

You can register via myGov or ask our reception team for assistance during your next visit.

To ensure accurate records and reliable communication, please advise us promptly if your contact details change – including address, phone number, or email.

Cavendish Road Clinic operates from a heritage-listed building, and at present, there is no wheelchair ramp access.

We acknowledge this limitation and are exploring options to enhance accessibility in the future.
If you have mobility needs, please inform our reception team when booking so we can make appropriate arrangements to support your care.

Telehealth reviews are available for patients who cannot attend the clinic due to illness, mobility or access issues. Similarly, home visits may be arranged if required. Please speak with our reception team to discuss whether this service may be suitable for you.

Medical certificates can only be issued following a consultation with your doctor and only for genuine medical conditions.

To maintain patient privacy and ensure clinical accuracy:

Fees for work-related injuries are payable at the time of consultation. Fees are charged at AMA rates.
It is the responsibility of the patient and employer to submit the necessary documentation to WorkCover Queensland, and in some cases, to seek reimbursement directly from WorkCover.

Please note that if your claim was made within another state, varying out of pocket costs may apply.

As part of our commitment to preventative care, Cavendish Road Clinic operates a recall and reminder system for relevant health checks, vaccinations, and screening.

If you prefer not to receive routine reminders, please advise the practice manager in writing.

Your medical record is a confidential document.

Our practice adheres to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and the RACGP 5th Edition Standards.

All personal information is stored securely and is only accessible to authorised staff involved in your care.

A copy of our full privacy policy is available on request from reception.

At Cavendish Road Clinic, we embrace innovative technologies that enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. Some of our doctors use secure, medical-grade AI tools – such as Heidi – to assist with clinical documentation during consultations.

These tools act as digital scribes, helping to summarise discussions and generate draft notes under the supervision of your doctor. All information is reviewed and approved by your GP before being added to your record.

Your privacy remains our priority: AI tools are used in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles and our practice privacy policy, and data is handled securely within approved healthcare environments.

By integrating technology thoughtfully, we aim to spend more time focusing on you, and less time on administration – so your care always stays personal, accurate, and human.

Your doctor will advise you if follow-up is required when results are received.

Patients may also be contacted by SMS, phone, email, or letter to arrange a review appointment where necessary.

Results are not routinely provided by our reception team over the phone, and should be accessible on your MyGov account within 1 week.

We value your feedback and continually strive to improve our service.

If you have suggestions or concerns, please contact our Practice Manager, Sherryn, on (07) 3397 1041 or email sherryn@cavrdclinic.com.au.

Written feedback can also be left in the suggestion box at reception.
