Announcing the Retirement of Dr Peter Joseph

After more than 20 years, Cavendish Road Clinic will farewell Dr Peter Joseph at the end of 2022. We thank Dr Joseph for his contribution to the clinic over the years and wish him the best for his retirement. Dr Joseph will still be taking appointments until the end of November 2022.

Please read below a letter from Dr Joseph to his patients.

Dear Patients,

I write to let you know that I will be retiring from Cavendish Road Clinic at the end of 2022.

It has been an honour to provide medical care for so many wonderful people over the many years. For many of you, that relationship has extended over 35 to 40 years and, in many cases, has extended to 3 to 4 generations within your families.

You have all been so kind and gracious. In the end, it all boils down to trust and respect.

It is confronting to contemplate retirement from medicine when it has dominated your life for over 40 years.

My career has provided me with the opportunity to meet and hopefully help so many people. I will always be grateful for this.

But, as many of the colleagues of my cohort are finding , age and health issues eventually catch up with all of us.

I am humbled by the many acts of kindness and generosity extended to me by so many over the years. I am humbled by the trust and loyalty you have shown. I am not certain I have always been deserving of this.

I am confident the Doctors of Cavendish Road Clinic will continue to provide good medical care for you.
